Uluru and a Kangaroo
Australia is home to some of the most unique landscapes and incredible natural wonders in the world. Among its world-famous landmarks is Uluru (also known as Ayers Rock) – a massive sandstone monolith in the heart of Australia’s outback. Rising 348 metres from the desert, Uluru is taller than Auckland’s Sky Tower and Australia’s tallest building, the Q1 Tower in the Gold Coast. Geologists believe Uluru dates back about 500 million years, making it as old as the Australian continent itself. Uluru is rich with Aboriginal Tjukurpa stories of its creation, and is sacred to the Anangu people of the region.
